Vintage Anatolian Kilim Rug

A beautiful Vintage Anatolian Kilim Rug hand knotted in the middle of the 20th century. The rug has a 3 point diamond geometric design and faded pastel colours of red/orange, blue, cream and green, whilst maintaining a contrasting black shade. The central 3 point diamond design is an unusual and sought after feature of this piece.Often seen within Anatolian Kilim Rugs, this piece has three defined design areas running through the field of the rug. The fading of the colours has happened uniformly throughout the rug, and as such, this piece has an excellent abrash effect. As with all Anatolian Kilim Rugs, this piece was woven horizontally, so it does not have a pile. Rugs that are made in this way can also be referred to as flatwoven or flatweaves.This Vintage Anatolian Kilim Rug is in very good condition and its well-balanced colour pallette is a calming feature for both traditional and contemporary spaces.
