Suzani Afghan Kilim Rug

A hand knotted and embroidered Suzani Kilim Rug from Afghanistan made from excellent quality wool. Inspired by original Suzani designs dating back to the 18th Century, this production can be used as a wall hanging, throw or a rug. Suzani are traditionally embroidered tribal textiles made in Central Asian countries, notably Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Iran. The word Suzani comes from the Persian word for needle (Suzan). This piece showcases a simplified bloom and star design in pastel greens, purples, blues, yellows and reds. A calming and relaxing addition for studies, living rooms and dining rooms.
